Get Up Lets Go – New Program offered to schools.

To WOA Parents:

Winnipeg Optimist Athletics has recently developed a program called Get Up Lets Go. It is an athlete-run program which visits schools to help promote athletics. The purpose of the clinic is to increase participation in track and field, and offer assistance in development of track and field programs in the schools. There is no fee or expense to the school to take advantage of this program. A brief outline of the program is attached.

To date, we have hosted clinics at ten schools, and are currently setting up even more. To grow the program, we ask your help to provide contact information for the Head Track Coach or Phys-Ed teacher at your athlete’s school. We hope that our program can visit your school and help develop the school’s track and field program.

Any assistance you can offer to provide contact info for specific teachers/coaches at a school or a school division, will be greatly appreciated. Kindly forward your suggestions to . Thank you.
